A SPECIAL public information drop-in day will be held in Port Talbot this month as part of Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board’s consultation over proposed changes to NHS services across the area.
The event will take place at the Princess Royal Theatre between 11am and 7pm on Monday, November 19. It is one of 16 such sessions taking place up to December 19, and follows a drop-in exercise at Croeserw that was being held today (November 2).
“We’re now well into our public engagement over Changing for the Better and the South Wales Programme, and we’ve already held five of our 16 public information drop-in days,” said a spokeswoman for ABMU.
“But there’s still plenty more opportunities to come and have a chat with us about ideas for changing some NHS services.
“There are big challenges facing the NHS in Wales, and we need to change the way we deliver healthcare to make sure we can meet those challenges.
“We want to share ideas with you about possible changes, and get your views.”
The drop-in events include posters, displays, booklets, leaflets, videos and presentations outlining and explaining the reasons for change and the emerging ideas.
Staff will be on hand to answer questions and to discuss the issues, and free tea and coffee will be provided.
