Organisers of the Passion are looking for any drummers (including closet or would-be drummers) that might be lurking in Port Talbot. It’s for a 100-strong troupe that will join the main procession through Port Talbot on the Sunday – a highlight of Michael Sheen’s three-day live theatre event in the town over Easter weekend.
“No drumming experience is necessary,” said The Passion’s musical director, Claire Ingleheart. “We just need people who are keen to learn or take part, and willing to do some drumming, of course. You can bring along your own drum if you have one, but it must be suitable for marching.”
Anyone who’s interested in taking part will need to attend some rehearsals before the event, with Sunday April 10 already pencilled in.
An introductory workshop is scheduled for Saturday April 2 from 3pm until 5pm at The Naval Social Club on Purcell Avenue.
