The money was raised by hairdressing students for NPT Cancer Challenge.
Fundraising activities included a non-uniform day, a teatime raffle and an Easter raffle.
Gaynor Jones and Hilary Jones from the charity received the cheque.
NPTCC helps with the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of all types of cancer.
It has raised more than £600,000 to buy equipment and chair Gaynor said: “We’re delighted that students raised money for us; it will all go back into the local community to help buy much-needed equipment.’’
