The women’s organisation, which also funds local charities and projects, funded the installation of the automatic doors after vandals damaged the previous doors.

Members of Soroptimist International joined President, Tegwyn Williams, at the centre for the presentation of a cheque.

The donation was made possible because of the proceeds that were raised from a successful fashion show held at Margam Orangery.

Soroptimist International are committed to a world where women and girls together achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong and peaceful communities worldwide.

The local club meets at Aberavon Beach Hotel every second and fourth Thursday of the month.
