ROLL up, roll up – tomorrow (Wednesday, August 14) is the day of the Afan River Festival, the special community event for valley residents and young people alike.
Forecast rain had threatened to put a dampener on the fun, but a swift change of venue to Glyncorrwg Rugby Club by organisers NSA means the festival will be going ahead no matter what.
It runs between 11am and 3pm, and promises to have something for everyone.
Free activities include wooden hearts, make-up sessions and face painting for the kids, also Groundworks, Playworks, the fire service and the Neath Port Talbot Play Bus will be in attendance, along with the Want2Work team who will be providing support and advice to people seeking employment.
Tea and coffee, and cakes will be on sale at the WI stall.
Aled Davies, of NSA, said: “It is an exciting line-up to which everyone is invited, and we are looking forward to a very successful day.”
