Rhino doors charging ahead with 7-month growth plan

Port Talbot-based Rhino Doors has appointed Barry Gregson as business development advisor as part of a 7-month growth plan.

The company is already a world leader in high secure door manufacture, and is one of only a few suppliers accredited by the Ministry of Defence and the Post Office. The business supplies to some of the most demanding security providers in the world including the banking sector, private cash deposit holders, and providers of private and public aircraft hangars.

The appointment comes at a time when the company, situated on Cramic Way, plans to undergo a significant re-brand, implement a market communication programme, launch new product development initiatives, and establish the company in new market sectors.

Mr Gregson said: “Rhino is an excellent niche business with well-engineered products, and a long established, loyal public sector customer base. It has significant growth potential and I am delighted to be asked to help it move to a new level”.

Mr Gregson has been involved in the steel industry for more than 35 years. Since managing the establishment of Accent Doors in 1981 he has led other new business start-ups, represented overseas partners on the distributor council of one of the world’s largest hollow metal door producers, and assisted a major European manufacturer establish a strong presence in the UK. In his role as Business Development Director at Booth Industries he worked with Rhino’s Managing Director Stuart Lawrence on the development of a 5-year expansion plan.
