Port Talbot osteopathic service roadshow helps heroes

Louise and Lisa raised £153 for Help for Heroes

Celtic osteopathic Service, a Port Talbot based health care service, has helped raise funds for the Help for Heroes charity alongside providing a unique service offering Osteopathy, Acupuncture and Sports Rehabilitation by first ever Road Show at Aberafan Shopping centre.

Lisa Jones, founder of the osteopathy service, explained: “Celtic Osteopathic Services has a social conscious and strives to improve patient’s quality of live, both physically and psychologically, by providing a sensitive and caring approach to health care, tailoring treatment plans to suit individual needs. In addition, being official fundraisers for Help for Heroes is an excellent way for us to support our armed service personnel and their families.”

Lisa has strong family connections with the armed forces with family members serving in the Royal Engineers, Welsh Guards and Royal Air force. Lisa “It is great to think that we can give something back and we will continue fundraising for Help for Heroes. We are planning a summer BBQ, in the great British tradition of rain or shine.”

Louise Prosser, who founded the osteopathic service alongside Lisa, said: “It was a brilliant Road Show highlighting the benefits of osteopathy, people were really amazed how my different ways osteopathy could help them.  The pinnacle of the day was the generosity shown by the public, to date the public have raised £103 for our charity Help for Heroes and Lisa and I donated an extra £50 on behalf of our company.  Donations keep flooding in through our online donation.”
