Port Talbot continues visitor success

Council bosses are claiming good news for Neath Port Talbot visitor figures.

They say that research shows tourism in the borough holding up.

In 2011 visitors spent £92.1 million here, a 1% increase on 2010 figures.


The number of visitors went up by 1% to reach 1,373,900.

Day visitors spent a daily average of £32.59 in Neath Port Talbot.

Neath Port Talbot Council leader Ali Thomas said: “It’s encouraging to see that investments made by the public and private sectors are paying off.”
