YOU know Christmas is on its way when tickets for the Taibach rugby club pantomime go on sale, and now players, coaches, committee members and club members are putting the finishing touches to their cheeky show.
The Taibach panto is a landmark in Port Talbot’s build up for the festive season. Traditionally, the club bases the show on a pantomime classic – but with a tongue-in-cheek twist. Recent productions have included Grease my A*se, Pirates of Treasure Island and Cinderella Gets Ugly.
This year, the classic Snow White has had the Taibach treatment, and is now Snow White and the Seven VCIs (vertically challenged individuals). It will run from Sunday, December 11 to Saturday, December 17.
Sunday is OAP night, which is free entry. Monday is couples’ night, with tickets at £2.50. Tuesday is ladies’ night with tickets also at £2.50. From Wednesday, December 14, to Saturday, December 17, all tickets are £6.
Tickets have been on sale since November 7, and are selling fast. Call Taibach RFC on 01639 884599 and ask for Alan Shaw.
