1 April 2013

TataEaster sPort Talbot steelworkers helped to donate more than 400 Easter eggs to disadvantaged children.

A seasonal appeal saw Welsh Tata employees and contractors buy an extra egg with their regular shopping.
Destinations included Morriston Hospital’s Welsh Dragon Burns club, an organisation run by volunteers for under-16s.
Tata health and safety advisor Tanya Gagin said club members enjoyed activities such as Easter egg hunts.
Other beneficiaries included the Neath and Port Talbot Women’s Aid, the Children’s Assessment Unit at Neath Port Talbot Hospital, the Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice and Barnardos.
Tata Steel hub director Jon Ferriman said: “We try to help in the community whenever we can and we tried to spread a little joy this Easter.
“We’ve had a link with the Welsh Dragon Burns and Ty Hafan for many years and a number of our employees volunteer for both organisations.”
